Hear and Say – Centre for Deaf Children

Hear and Say eAudiology Project - to enhance the equity of access to audiology assessments for hearing impaired children with cochlear implants who live in regional and remote areas, and assess the validity of performing these post implant speech perception assessments via the Internet.

The ‘Hear and Say’ eAudiology research project aims to assess whether assessments of speech perception (what the child actually hears through their implant) can be performed over the Internet.  Their target group is children with cochlear implants in regional and remote areas.  This project will extend Hear and Say's current aAudiology program, which currently enables Hear and Say audiologists to use the Internet to MAP (program) cochlear implants.
